These 2 dogs -mother and daughter (spitz mix) urgently needs foster care for only 1 week! they were boarded at a vet and contracted canine cough, they are currently on antibiotics and body system is weak so we dont want them, especially the puppy to contract other viruses from the animals at the vet.

Please Help Brownie Hit By Car (Broken leg)

We rescued a brown male dog that was in a hit and run case by a car along Jalan Ipoh. He is currently undergoing treatment at the vet to stabilize his condition and will be going for his surgery next week due to his serious case of hip dysplasia from the impact of the accident. We are Appealing for URGENT FUNDS to help this dog so that he can walk on all four legs again. After the surgery, we will also need the help of a kind fosterer to help him recuperate until he fully recovers and can be rehomed.

4^thJuly @ 2am :

As Nicholas and Junnie were returning from their journey home at 2am along Jalan Ipoh, they saw a dog being hit by a car. Bravely enough, they carried the dog (despite the dog being injured and could have bitten them) into their car and quickly took him to Animal Medical Centre in Jalan Tun Razak. Vet at AMC suspected some broken legs as he was unable to stand. They took a blood test, have him bandaged up as he was wounded on all legs and they couldn’t determine which leg was broken until an x-ray was done and put on IV drips to stabilize him for the night. Blood test results shows his liver producing higher amount of enzyme due to the accident. Brownie stayed at AMC for 2 nights as he was in shocked and it was advisable to have him on drips to stabilize his condition.

6th July :

I took Brownie out the following morning and settled the remaining balance.The emergency hospitalization at Animal Medical Centre cost us a huge bomb at RM610!!

A breakdown of the bill is shown as below:

Brownie was transferred to Sacred Heart Veterinary Clinic the following morning. He looks like he belongs to someone as he was clean and had no ticks and was very calm and estimated to be around 2 years old. We were glad he was looking better and able to stand but only on 3 legs. Dr.Yap presume that the left hind leg without bandage is the actual broken leg. (As you can see from the picture he is standing firmly with the 3 legs and that he’s left hind leg is lifted in the air. He is standing with hind legs close together to compensate for hip dysplasia.) However, only an X-ray can confirm. Brownie seems to be a very well obedient dog and “manly” as he did not whine or struggle while Dr.Yap examined him and his broken leg. He is now off-drips after the second day with Dr.Yap as he is eating on his own now and have regain much strength.

His x-ray results shows that he has hip dysplasia due to the impact of the accident and he will survive whether or not a surgery is done. According to the vet:

1) - Without the surgery, he will be in possible pain and forever limping and only be able to walk with 3 legs and will never be able to use his left hind legs anymore which in the long run, he will lose his thigh muscles in that leg. He will have lower or possibly no chance of being able to find a new home nor stay to keep up in a dog sanctuary.

2) -With the surgery, he will regain the ability to use all 4 legs again and will not be in any possible pain. He will have higher chance of getting rehomed. However, cost of surgery is high and estimated to be from RM 800- RM 1,000.

We have decided to give this poor dog a chance to lead a normal life to walk and run on all fours again. Brownie is scheduled for his surgery next Tuesday (12/7). I would like to Appeal for URGENT FUNDS to help with Brownie’s medical fees as the cost of the medical fees is very high and we still have many rescued animals to care for. We hope kind donors can give a helping hand by contributing and together we can give this poor young dog a chance to live a normal life. Please pass the message around so we can source for more funds for his medical surgery.

Please help us help him so he can live a happy and normal life. Brownie is such a lovely and gentle dog and he definitely deserves a second chance and a better home!

Hi, this is Friday, a suspected abandoned dog found living in the nearby woods in damansara heights by a good samaritan who feeds her but unfortuantely, is unable to take her in as she lives in an apartment. Friday happily greets when she knows ppl are here to feed her. However, living in the woods is not the best choice thus, Friday is in need of a permanent home, or at the very least, a temporary foster home. Friday is gentle, playful, excitable and is desperate for some one to love her. She is a delightful, "cheeky" typical dog.

Legacy Needs a 2nd Chance, a Home

This beautiful dog was found lying unable to walk at the road side near centre point in bandar utama three sundays ago, hit by a car; a good Samaritan brought him to the vet.

X ray showed that he suffers from pelvic bone and tail bone fracture. The pelvic bone fracture, according to the vet, will heal by itseslf but the tail may have to be amputated. There WAS no anal tone, hence he couldn't control his bowel movement. Currently he is still in the animal hospital and besides conventional treatment, he is also undergoing acupuncture treatment.
Few days ago, the vet realised that the dog's anal tone is coming back. So this mean the possibility of him regaining control of his bowel movement is very high.

He is a very clean conscious dog. Keeps on licking himself and can paw whenever you extend your hand! He will give the other paw when u ask for "Another Paw"!

The potential owner has to be very committed as it may be quite messy if the treatment is
not successful. (I think he will recover fully) But he is of a very good nature and estimated to be less than a year old.

Hi all! this is Candy, who was found abandoned after her owner relocated overseas and is now looking for a new home. Candy is a 3 years old, female English Cocker Spaniel. Candy is of sweet natured however, she has behavioural problems being pretty possessive and stubborn (which is typical English Cocker Spaniel character). From assessing and behavioural training, she has improved drastically although it would require more time for her to further improve through consistent training. Thus, her owner has to be understanding, firm, calm and assertive when helping her change for the better (adopter will be guided on managing her). Its also recommended that the adopter has few experiences with dogs of such type and that she would prefer a family with no children. She's friendly towards any dogs of her size or larger, but will not do well with dogs which are smaller than her.

A pregnant stray cat gave birth to 4 kittens in Michael's garden which is in the Kepong area. On the morning of 30/9/2008, these 4 kittens (now almost 2 months old) suddenly dissapeared as suspected that they were stolen by construction workers next door from the muddy shoe-prints found in the house compound were the kittens were staying. This was immediately reported to the police but no action was taken.

Please kindly inform us if these kittens are seen so they can be returned to the poor mother cat which is still grieving for them.

DIRECTIONS 1

On Jalan Puchong, heading towards Puching - pass IOI Mall which is on the opposite side of you - that means on your right.Go straight until you see Tractors Malaysia, which is around a bend - After Tractors turn left, under the bridge at traffic light turn right. Go straight until you see a mosque, across the road, take the first turning on the left. Go straight until you see MPSJ Signboard follow signboard and you will reach the temple on the right. Turn tight and go behind the temple and the pound is there.

DIRECTIONS 2
Using the LDP from Subang/USJ /Shah Alam Hicom to Puchong

1) Tesco should be on your left hand side
2) After Tesco but before IOI mall you should see a "U" turn
3) Do a "u" turn and now you are on the opposite side of the road going back to Subang,USJ and the LDP
4) You should see Taman Puteri on your left hand side
5) Immediately after passing Taman Puteri you should see a green overhead signage which says " Bandar Baharu Puchong". Turn into this left slip road
6) Go along this road and you should see Tractor Malaysia and DHL on your right hand side and Taman Pusat Bandar Puchong Industrial Park on your left hand side. You are now at a cross road with a traffic light.
6a) Go straight through and Along the road you should able to see a small blue signboard on your left hand side which says "Batu 14 Puchong". Now you know you are on the right track to the dog pound.
7) Keep left and Follow the road until you pass an Indian temple called Kuil Mariamman on your right hand side. This temple is white in color.
Immmediately after the temple you will see a small T junction on your left hand side. Beside it is a small dark blue signage which says " Pusat Kurungan Haiwan Puchong" .Turn left into this junction.
9) Along the way you will see Sek. Han Ming ( Chinese School) and a Malay school on your left hand side.
10) After the Malay school ,on your left side is the Puchong Dog Pound and on the right hand side is the Malay cemetery.
